Check-in at the iconic Raffles Hotel before departing from the Woodland Railway Station, entering Malaysia over the Straits of Johor.
Afternoon tea is served on board, then spend time relaxing or exploring the train.

The Train
The Eastern & Oriental Express train offers luxury travel through some of the world’s most exotic landscapes. Sister train to Europe’s legendary Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, the train was built in Japan in 1972.

Observation Car on the Eastern and Oriental Express Train

A unique feature of the Eastern & Oriental Express train, the Observation Car is located at the rear of the train. Make your way to the colonial-style, teakwood Observation Car for sightseeing by day and cocktails and entertainment after dark.

Part of the carriage is outdoors for wonderful photo opportunities throughout your journey.

Dining aboard the Eastern & Oriental Express Train

The internationally renowned chefs create spectacular eastern and western specialities to rival the world’s best fine-dining restaurants.Lunch and dinner are served in the two Restaurant Cars, while a breakfast of croissants, fruit, coffee, tea and juice is delivered to your cabin daily.

Early risers can enjoy refreshments in the Observation Car, served from 7am onwards.

Bar Car

Open from early morning until late into the night, the Bar Car is a convivial hub at any time of day. Come evening, take a seat for an aperitif or cocktail set to the dulcet sounds of the resident pianist.

After dinner, settle back and enjoy the local entertainment on board the train.

Pullman Cabin on the Eastern and Oriental Express

During the day, your cabin is a private lounge complete with banquette-style sofa. At night, it converts into a plush bedroom with an upper and lower bed.

State Cabin on the Eastern and Oriental Express

State Cabins are configured as a private lounge during the day with a banquette-style sofa. Fixed daytime seating converts to two single beds for the night.

Presidential Cabins on the Eastern and Oriental Express

The ultimate in luxury, Presidential Cabins are configured as a plush lounge during the day. At night, they are converted into an intimate bedroom complete with two single beds.
