Journey to the world’s most beautiful places in spacious designer suites, indulge in a decadent treatment at the world renowned Canyon Ranch SpaClub, enjoy a musical performance in a plush lounge, and delight in extensive gourmet dining throughout the day and night.

Dine whenever, wherever and with whomever you choose in any of our open-seating restaurants. Simply request a table when the mood strikes and the Maître D’ will happily seat your party.

Using fresh local produce, dry-aged prime meats, fish and seafood sourced from international markets, delicious artisan cheeses and scrumptious baked goods crafted from the finest imported French flour, combined with all the skills and imagination of our celebrated chefs to put it all together — cruising has never tasted so good. Menus change daily in Compass Rose as a multitude of Continental-inspired dishes are offered during the course of your voyage. Indulge in a Sunday champagne and caviar brunch at La Veranda or at Compass Rose. Dine in elegant surroundings including the iconic Prime 7, the premier steakhouse at sea, and delight in mouth watering entrées paired with distinctive complimentary wines and spirits.

EXP-CompassRose-231x153Much thought was given to the design of Compass Rose, the flagship restaurant of our fleet. The dining room is outfitted with rich woods contrasted by light marble stones and mother of pearl shimmering brightly with an elegant color theme of light shades of blue, white, gold and silver. Compass Rose delights with a beautifully defined atmosphere and transitions from refreshing natural light during the day to a romantic ice blue lighting theme at night. This is the perfect setting for you to enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner, where the menu features an exceptional variety of Continental cuisine.

Serving breakfast and lunch, La Veranda is exceedingly popular any time of the day. Spacious and comfortably casual, La Veranda offers regional specialties that often reflect the cuisines of the countries called on, such as Grilled Lamb Chops with Spanish Sherry Sauce or pan-sautéed Mediterranean Sea Bass. Dishes are presented in a buffet style that displays the diversity of the menu. La Veranda also features an authentic pizzeria and a shaded, open-air veranda for dining al fresco.

EXP-LaVeranda-SetteMari-231x153Inspired by the views of the Italian Riviera, the ambiance is one of everyday glamour. Rich blues and whites, contrasted with terrazzo floors and teak wood accents, adorn the interior spaces and culminate in a stylish and spacious al fresco area, replete with comfortable cushioned seating and striped awnings that allow the breeze to flow through. In the evenings, La Veranda transforms into the warm and inviting Sette Mari at La Veranda, where tables are candlelit to match the star-filled skies. The menu also transforms into a tantalizing journey of alluring antipasto, perfect homemade pastas, enticing main courses and divine desserts hailing from all over Italy. Sette Mari at La Veranda is open for dinner only.

Voyager Pool GrillBeing open-air and just steps from the swimming pool on Deck 11, the Pool Grill welcomes casual diners. Its laid-back ambiance invites guests to come directly from lounging in the sun, or for a quick meal between shore excursions. While the atmosphere is deliciously informal, the menu and preparation reflects the same attention to detail as the finest of restaurants.

EXP-Prime7-231x153A true classic in every sense, the Prime 7 restaurant aboard Seven Seas Explorer personifies luxury at every turn. Handsomely decorated with ingenious uses of glass, metal and granite, you will feel as if you have arrived at an iconic members-only club. Enjoy a cocktail at the bar before being taken to your personal banquette. And after savoring a succulent filet mignon or a mouthwatering côte de boeuf, delight in a digestif and a lively conversation with fellow guests in the comfort of supple leather wing-back chairs.

All the traditional starters are here, including Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Oysters Rockefeller, and French Onion Soup Gratinée. Of course, beef is the undisputed star, as it is all USD A Prime and Dry-Aged at least 28 days to ensure the ultimate tenderness, juiciness and flavour. “Côte de Boeuf” Bone-in Rib Steak, Porterhouse Steak and succulent Filet Mignon only touch upon the selections. Mouth watering alternatives include Colorado Double-Cut Lamb Chops and Oven-Roasted Organic Free-Range Chicken. Prime 7 is open for dinner only and reservations are required.

Castello Di Bolgheri and Exclusive Wine Tasting

Light Activity /Walking Regent Choice
Duration: 8 hours

This full-day Regent Choice tour is recommended for wine-lovers seeking an exclusive visit to the Castle of Bolgheri.

Depart the Port of Livorno for the scenic 1-hour drive by mini-bus through the Tuscan countryside. In the Maremma Region, you will see cypress trees, olive groves and vineyards. As you continue on through the gently rolling hills overlooking the sea pines and sand dunes of the Tirreno Sea, your guide will point out sites of interest and introduce you to the local history. Leaving the town center, you will see the ancient castles and watchtowers that dominate the dramatic rocky cliffs on the Mediterranean coastline.

Your first stop will be Castle of Bolgheri, whose origins date back to the 1200s. Since then, it has been the property of the Counts of Gherardesca family. In the second half of the 1700s, restoration work and improvements were made to the building, and the cellars were built. In 1895, the castle’s facade was modified, with the construction of the tower and merlons that are seen today.

Bolgheri Castle is surrounded by picturesque vineyards, olive orchards and wooded areas and both sides of the estate are adjacent to the famous cypress road extolled in the poetry of Giosuè Carducci. During your visit, you will be served two wines produced by the winery (Castello di Bolgheri and Varvàra), along with some wholesome bread, extra virgin olive oil, prosciutto and savoury sheep cheese. Relax and enjoy the Castle’s ambience as you swirl the wines in your glass, releasing their fine aromas and discovering the extraordinary personality of every drop. After your wine tasting, you will be treated to a guided tour of the estate and the cellars before having some free time to catch a glimpse of the local country lifestyle. You may also use this time to purchase some selected wines and souvenirs at the local shops before transfering to a typical Tuscan restaurant, nestled in a quiet and intimate setting near the San Guido Estate.

After lunch, a visit will be made to the Le Macchiole Estate in the heart of the Strada del Vino Costa degli Etruschi, the Etruscan Coast’s wine route. Upon arrival, an estate guide will escort you to the noble vineyards and cellars where their award-winning wine is produced, then to the private dining room for a wine tasting.

Following your tour, you will re-board your mini-bus for the return drive to the Port of Livorno.

Please note: Due to the exclusive nature of this tour, there is limited availability. Only 16 guests will be able to participate in this unique Tuscan experience. Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes for this tour, which involves moderate walking at Castello di Bolgheri and at Le Macchiole Estate. Guests must be at least 18 years old to participate in this exclusive tour.

Exclusive Cooking Class

Light Activity / Regent Choice
Duration: 5 1/2 hours

If you love cooking and eating Italian food, than you will simply adore this exclusive cooking class and lunch at an excellent restaurant in Livorno.

Tuscany’s food is much like its scenic landscape; clean and simple. Tuscan’s are masters at the art of understatement, building their characteristic dishes on an interplay of vegetables, beans, salt-less bread, and fruity olive oil. Their favorite herbs, including thyme, rosemary and fennel, are used judiciously – never squandered or wasted. Sharp sheep’s milk cheese made at artisanal dairies lends a saltiness and pungency to pastas, savory pies and salads. Ravioli and tortelli, the region’s classic stuffed pastas, are filled with ricotta or potatoes and pancetta, then napped with butter and sage, tomato sauce or a meat ragout. A special breed of cattle known as Chianina provides succulent meat for the grill, and delicious pasta sauces.

Desserts are always most impressive on celebratory days, and range from a dome-shaped cake called zuccotto to a flat bread studded with grapes that dates back to Etruscan times. Tuscany’s wines are famous across the world; the most renowned are Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Chianti, Vin Santo, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, and the new class of ‘Super Tuscan’ wines.

Depart the pier for the transfer to an exclusvie restaurant in Livorno. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed and begin this hands-on cooking class. An English-speaking tour escort will also be on hand to help translate. Guests will enjoy a delicious lunch consisting of the dishes that you will help to prepare, and savor the memories of this interesting and enjoyable experience long after this delightful visit.

Please note: Guests must pre-book. Once booked, this tour will be non-refundable. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. The restaurant is equipped for guests with wheelchairs, but some wheelchairs may not be able to enter the kitchen area. This tour includes very little walking, however guests will stand while cooking.

RSSC Monte CarloTiny, but packed with fun, Monte Carlo offers a wonderful combination of history, beauty, entertainment and leisure. The wealthiest spot in Monaco, Monte Carlo is an enchanting place, known as the international capital of luxury and for its celebrity-sightings, casinos and nightlife. Yet the old world shines through in its art and architecture. Palaces, cathedrals and museums dot this small municipality in an old town full of rich history. Be sure to catch the once-daily changing of the guard, then tour the public areas at the Palais du Prince, home to the royal family, whose most famous resident was famous actress Grace Kelly.

RSSC Saint TropezEnjoy the exquisite hilly Provençal countryside beyond this resort, where charming villages with narrow stepped streets, lovely churches and stunning scenic views beckon. Visit a local winery or take a drive along the rugged coast and revel in the wonderful views of the landscape, the beaches, the islands and the magnificent Massif des Maures. Browse in the resorts elegant boutiques for French perfume, fine jewelry, high fashion clothing and leather goods. Try some delicious local lobster with a chilled white wine or savor some refreshingly unusual lavender ice cream.

Gassin & Wine Tasting:

Light Activity /Walking
Duration: 3 1/2 hours

Enjoy a taste of the good life in Provence by visiting the delightful village of Gassin. A short drive to the southwest, past sun-washed mountains and vineyards, takes you to the village which is perched high on a rock, just a few miles from the sea. With its narrow, winding streets and shuttered, pastel-hued buildings, quaint Gassin boasts a definitive Provençal character. But it’s the peerless views of the countryside and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez that sets Gassin apart from other French villages. Take time to drink in the magnificent panoramas. Then, drive to a family-run winery, where for generations the vintners have passed on their expertise and passion for crafting fine wines. You will savor the unique vintages produced here and sample other spectacular varieties from this premier wine-making region in southern France.

Please note: Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

St. Tropez Walking Tour:

Moderate Activity/Walking
Duration: 2 1/2 hours

Meet your guide on the pier for an enjoyable walking tour of Saint-Tropez. With the foothills of the Maures Massif rising behind it, Saint-Tropez Bay is one of the most picturesque sites of the South of France, and is notoriously well-known as the international jet-set rendezvous.

The old fishing village is today a lively seaside resort, which has kept its Provençal culture and traditions. You will enjoy a walking tour of the old town with its picturesque atmosphere and its lively squares such as the famous “Place des Lices” where the locals meet to play “boules”.

During your visit, you will also discover the small Annonciade Museum situated on the harbor, with its fine collection of arts, sculptures and paintings covering the period from 1890 – 1940 and confirming the important role St-Tropez played in the Post-Impressionist movement (paintings from Paul Signac and Matisse amongst others). Approximately 1-hour will be spent visiting the museum. The 2008 temporary exhibition on the museum’s ground floor is dedicated to the French Neo-impressionist, Maximilien Luce.

Aix En Provence

Light Activity /Walking
Duration: 5 hours

Travel to the charming and historic town of Aix en Provence on this captivating half-day tour.

Boarding your coach at the pier, you will embark on a picturesque 75-minute drive through the scenic Provence countryside as you travel towards Aix en Provence, an elegant and well-preserved town that is filled with history and character.

Upon arrival, you will enjoy a guided walking tour that has you strolling through narrow lanes paved with cobblestone in the Vieux Aix as you make your way to the celebrated Cours Mirabeau. Filled with an intertwining arbor of green plane trees, the avenue is the town’s liveliest area, and the point where the medieval streets to the north merge with the sophisticated 18th century mansions to the south.

Girona & Dali

Light Activity /Walking Regent Choice
Duration: 8 hours

Discover Girona’s restored medieval Old Town and then see one of the world’s greatest collections of art from Salvador Dali in the town where he was born.

After departing from the pier, you will drive inland for approximately one hour, following the edge of the forested Les Gavarres Mountains. Upon arriving in Girona, you will begin a walking tour of the walled Old Quarter and the medieval Jewish district El Call. As you stroll the narrow labyrinthine streets, be sure to look for the 14th-century Hebrew inscriptions carved in the stone walls.

Later, during free time, you can explore Girona further, perhaps visiting the Romanesque monastery.

Then it’s on to Figueres for a traditional Catalan lunch and a tour of the fantastic Dali Theatre Museum. Salvador Dali personally chose the former theater to house his art, which now includes more than 4,000 works that span his entire career. The artist collaborated on every detail of the museum’s design and it too is a work of art.

Dali even created some of the pieces expressly for exhibition here in highly unusual spaces such as the Mae West Room. Another must-see is Dali’s incredible “Gala Nude Watching the Sea” painting, which turns into a portrait of Abraham Lincoln when viewed from 65 feet away. Even Dali’s crypt in the center of the museum has been turned into an exhibit of gold jewelry that he designed. Following your visit, you will rejoin your coach and return to the pier in Palamos.

Please note: This tour includes over 3-hours of moderate walking/standing, plus any additional walking at the guests’ discretion during any free time. There will be uneven and cobblestone surfaces to negotiate. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and not considered suitable for those with mobility concerns.

Peralada Castle Wine Cellars

Light Activity /Walking Regent Choice
Duration: 4 hours

Sample some signature wines and cavas in the cellars of the Castle of Peralada, where Carmelite monks introduced wine making in the Middle Ages.

After departing from the pier, you will drive north, all the while watching the gorgeous Costa Brava landscape unfold. After approximately seventy-five minutes, you will arrive at the Castle of Peralada, a 14th-century landmark so recognized that its twin towers have become a symbol for the entire region.

Over the centuries, the castle has been expanded, rebuilt and refortified to bolster its defenses. However, since the 1920s it has been known more for wine making, a tradition that Carmelite monks nearby began about the time the castle was built. The history of their wine making is recorded in hand-written gothic documents and parchments in the castle’s library, which holds nearly 80,000 volumes.

While touring the wine cellar, you will sample some of the cellar’s most distinct wines. They may include a cherry-red Crianza, an elegant Sauvignon Blanc or perhaps a sparkling Cava Brut Rosado known for its complex, fruity taste. The variety of soils in this part of Spain produces grapes with a wide range of nuances, which the castle’s wines beautifully capture.

Following the wine tasting, you will have time to browse the castle’s museum and shop in the bodega. Products aren’t limited to wines, as the castle also offers olive oil, vinegar and even Himalayan salt with phytoplankton reputed to help prevent osteoporosis. Afterwards, you will return to the pier.

Please note: This tour includes approximately 2-hours of easy to moderate walking, plus any additional walking at the guests’ discretion following the guided portion of the tour. There will be some steps to negotiate. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and not recommended for those with mobility concerns.

Amazing Guadalest

Light Activity /Walking
Duration: 5 hours

Enjoy discovering the popular tourist town of Guadalest on this tour that takes you to this ancient military stronghold that sits perched at the top of a granite mountain.

Your tour begins with a scenic 90-minute drive that takes you past picturesque villages such as La Nucia, Polop de la Marina and Callosa d´Ensarria, all of them surrounded by a landscape that is the most beautiful in the region. Dedicated to agriculture, you will see an abundance of orange trees, avocados and nisperos.

Arriving at Guadalest, you will find one of the most emblematic tourist images of the Costa Blanca, which is undoubtedly, the picture-postcard site of the free-standing elegant bell tower and the tunnel that provides access to the old center of Castell de Guadalest. Both are found nestled in a dramatic granite mountaintop setting that leaves a lasting impression. Leaving your coach behind, you will set-off with your guide on a guided walk through the village streets. The old urban center of the town is located on the top of an outcrop, which is only accessed via a tunnel hollowed into the side of the rock. The area at the top of the rock includes the bell tower, Saint Josep Castle – where the current cemetery is located, and the recently restored Orduña House which you will visit.

The Orduña House was built after the great earthquake that demolished much of the original housing in Guadalest. One half of the house is supported by the rock while the other half occupies areas over the chapels of the adjoining church. The house is constructed of timber, plaster and stone, with four levels and an attic that is reached by several small stairways. The ground floor consists of a large reception area, wine-vault, kitchen, dining room, pantries, yards, horse-stables and barn. The remaining levels are occupied by chambers and their private quarters. The library is perhaps the most interesting feature of the house, containing a total of 1265 volumes. The catalogue of the “Ancient Books” (1500-1800) consists of 589 entries. As can be seen from the book covers, the majority of the books were acquired by the lawyer Don Francisco de Paula Orduña.

On entering the state rooms, you are able to see a staircase with a font on the right hand side. This staircase leads to a private gallery, which the Orduña family used to occupy in the church, a privilege bestowed upon them by the Archbishops of Valencia.

Following your visit to Orduña House, you will have free time to further explore the village on your own before it’s time to rejoin your coach for the return journey to Alicante
