Take a morning direct flight from London Gatwick to Nice (other airports available).
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be transferred to Cannes where the Star Flyer awaits.
Glittering Cannes is the archetypal Mediterranean resort city discovered by wealthy English nobles who came to the sunny south of France to escape their drafty old castles during the dreary British winters. Cannes’ high flying lifestyle has attracted notables and the notorious ever since. Every year, the stars flock to celebrate the Cannes Film Festival at the colossal Palais des Festivals.
Day 2 – 25th May 2025 – Monaco (Fontvieille)
Today is the Monaco Grand Prix finals.
Make your way to Grandstand K, located in the heart of the action. From your seats, enjoy fantastic views and the buzz of the crowd as the races and Grand Prix of Monaco takes place.
Day 3 – 26th May 2025 – Ile Rousse (Corsica), France
Ile Rousse (“red island”) is a little town in Balagne region (northwest of Corsica), some 25 km from Calvi. It is popular with visitors but still retains its local character. Place Paoli at the centre of town is a shady square bordered by tall plane trees and outdoor cafés. It is a lively spot and a great favourite with locals who gather there to play pétanque (French bowls). The old town with its traditional grid street system is also very worth a visit.
Day 4 – 27th May 2025 – Ajaccio (Corsica), France
Ajaccio has a justified reputation as a very stylish city. Napoleon Bonaparte was born here in 1769, and as you would expect the city has many sites relating to him, from his childhood home to seafront statues, museums and street names. Its immediate surroundings are a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers, trekkers and climbers. It provides a whole range of outdoor activities which you can enjoy by yourself or with professionals.
Day 5 – 28th May 2025 – Bonifacio (Corsica), France
Bonifacio’s almost land-locked harbour is one of the most dramatic, totally protected harbours. It is a bustling port with excellent seafood restaurants, and a modern marina. The ancient citadel town is perched high atop a seemingly impenetrable cliff.
Day 6 – 29th May 2025 – East Corsica (beach), France
One of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica. The water is crystal clear, calm and warm, but the main attraction of the beach is that it is never crowded.
Day 7 – 30th May 2025 – Portoferraio (Elba), Italy
From his villa in Portoferraio, Napoleon, the exiled Emperor of France, looked out over the waiting ships in the harbour and dreamed of returning to glory. Enjoy a local vineyard tour, and near Portoferraio, discover the remains of an ancient Etruscan civilisation.
Day 8 – 31st May 2025 – Civitavecchia (port for Rome)
St. Peter’s, with its breathtaking Sistine Chapel, newly restored to its former glory- the Spanish Steps, where all Rome passes by- the Colosseum, where gladiators fought to the death, and the Pantheon, considered to be the most perfect architectural statement of the ages.
