Orient Express La Dolce Vita offers luxury rail journeys across Italy, including a specially designed accessible cabin for guests with mobility limitations.
The train has been designed by Milan-based studio Dimorestudio, combining contemporary Italian style with inspiration from the glamour of 1960s Italian travel.
On board there are 31 cabins and suites, including one Suite specially designed for guests with mobility limitations. This accessible cabin is positioned close to the train’s common areas to facilitate easier movement for wheelchair users.
Guests travelling in the accessible suite can board the train in their own wheelchair and move comfortably within the cabin, bathroom and shower. When visiting the restaurant or bar lounge, an aisle wheelchair is available and assistance can be provided by the dedicated onboard team.

Accessible Cabin on Board the Train
The accessible suite has been designed to allow wheelchair users to travel comfortably on board the Orient Express La Dolce Vita. The cabin includes space to move within the sleeping area and an accessible private bathroom with shower.
The suite is also located close to the train’s main areas to make it easier to reach the restaurant and lounge cars with assistance from the onboard team.
Accessibility Around the Train
Like many luxury trains, corridor space throughout the train is limited. For this reason an aisle wheelchair is available for guests who wish to visit the dining car or bar lounge during the journey. The onboard team can assist with movement through the train when required.

The Orient Express La Dolce Vita offers two main accommodation types: Deluxe Cabins and Suite Cabins, each with a private en-suite bathroom and elegant interiors inspired by mid-century Italian design.
Onboard Dining and Experience
During the journey guests enjoy refined Italian cuisine served in the elegant dining car, accompanied by fine wines and live onboard entertainment. The bar lounge provides a stylish space to relax and socialise while travelling through Italy’s landscapes.
