Andrea Bocelli returns to his hometown of Lajatico in Tuscany for two performances at the extraordinary Teatro del Silenzio on Thursday 22 and Saturday 24 July 2027.

The two concerts form the 22nd edition of Teatro del Silenzio, continuing the remarkable summer tradition which brings Andrea Bocelli back to the Tuscan hills where he was born and raised. Both performances are scheduled to begin at 8:30pm.

Each summer the natural amphitheatre outside Lajatico is transformed into one of Europe’s most distinctive open-air concert venues, bringing together world-class music, spectacular staging and the landscape of rural Tuscany. The detailed programme and guest artists for 2027 will be announced closer to the event.

The Teatro del Silenzio occupies a spectacular natural setting in the countryside outside Lajatico, Andrea Bocelli’s birthplace in Tuscany. For the annual event, the landscape is transformed into an open-air concert venue attracting visitors from around the world.

The detailed 2027 programme and the artists who will join Andrea Bocelli on stage have not yet been announced. We will update this page as further official information becomes available.

Andrea Bocelli’s performances in Lajatico have developed into one of the most eagerly anticipated annual events in Tuscany. Previous editions have featured major international artists, ambitious productions and special celebrations of Bocelli’s career.

2026 – Romanza 30th Anniversary

Andrea Bocelli returned to the Teatro del Silenzio in July 2026 for two sold-out performances celebrating the 30th anniversary of Romanza, the landmark album first released in 1996.

2024 – Andrea Bocelli 30th Anniversary Celebration

The 2024 edition celebrated 30 years of Andrea Bocelli’s extraordinary career. Three evenings in the Tuscan hills brought together a remarkable line-up of international performers and special guests including Ed Sheeran, Jon Batiste, Russell Crowe, Shania Twain, David Foster, Laura Pausini, Zucchero, Giorgia, Matteo Bocelli, Virginia Bocelli, Plácido Domingo, José Carreras, Lang Lang, Aida Garifullina and Bryn Terfel.

2023

In summer 2023 the Teatro del Silenzio once again became the setting for a unique Andrea Bocelli performance under the artistic direction of Alberto Bartalini, co-creator of the event.

2022

With most international travel restrictions removed, clients were once again able to experience an evening of music at the Teatro del Silenzio, led by Andrea Bocelli and joined by acclaimed guests and international artists.

2020 / 2021

The global Covid-19 pandemic resulted in the planned 2020 Andrea Bocelli Lajatico performance being postponed until 2021. Many Mulberry Travel clients transferred their arrangements to the following year, while clients who chose to cancel were fully refunded by Mulberry Travel. The concert returned in 2021, although continuing international travel restrictions still affected many overseas visitors.

2019 – “Ali di libertà” – Wings of Freedom

The 2019 production of Ali di libertà took inspiration from the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci. From the myth of Icarus to Leonardo’s flying machines, the production combined the setting of Lajatico with Andrea Bocelli and acclaimed international stars of bel canto.

2018 – André Chénier by Umberto Giordano

The 2018 Teatro del Silenzio production featured André Chénier, Umberto Giordano’s four-act verismo opera. The combination of the dramatic score, Andrea Bocelli and the unique open-air setting of Lajatico created a memorable edition of the annual event.

The 2017 performance delivered another spectacular production at the Teatro del Silenzio, with elaborate staging and a distinguished guest list. Andrea Bocelli’s performance included favourites such as Nessun Dorma.

Teatro del Silenzio, Lajatico – The Theatre of Silence

The Teatro del Silenzio is an extraordinary open-air venue set among the rolling hills outside Lajatico in Tuscany, the birthplace of Andrea Bocelli. Created in 2006 within a natural amphitheatre, it has become closely associated with Bocelli’s annual summer performances.

For most of the year the landscape remains quiet and largely returns to its natural state. Each summer it is transformed for a limited number of performances, creating a temporary open-air theatre in which music, art and the Tuscan landscape become part of the same experience.

Its setting near Lajatico, in the province of Pisa, makes the Teatro del Silenzio very different from a conventional concert arena and is one of the reasons the annual Andrea Bocelli event attracts an international audience to Tuscany.

Well, to say the least... It was a dream come true!!!! Loved it! The professionalism is outstanding!!! Mulberry team/office was prompt in feedback and executions!! Travel arrangements: They took care of everything!!! ~Door to door car service... A+ ~Hotel was perfect... We felt like royalty! We loved the luxurious rooms. WEll worth the price!!!(and front desk service and restaurant/bar very convenient.)Very centrally located. WE walked everywhere! ~ Pre-concert dinner was romantic, delicious, and the view overlooking the Tuscany fields,... well, a perfect mood set for the Concert. The owner and his children were present to greet us and tell us a little about the site. ~ Andrea Bocelli concert. Well, I was moved beyond words! Of course! I had to stop myself from sobbing!! I would have loved to been closer?.. and I wouldn't have minded paying extra for that. (We were in the yellow section.) One can see what is happening from all of the giant screens. The sound systems are the best ever! ~We met some very nice people... made some business connections and the weather could not have been better. Summer in July in the Tuscany region... well worth it!!! I thank Mulberry travel and its fantastic team so much for their efforts, their kindness! ...They made three ladies extremely happy to have fulfilled one more dream from their bucket list.

Mulberry Travel, especially Sasha, has been an incredibly helpful partner in creating wonderful journeys for us. Despite the fact that we are in the United States and they are in the UK, Sasha and team have been exceptionally accessible, patient, professional, and knowledgeable. Back form a fantastic holiday organised by Sasha at Mulberry Travel on a Med Cruise with the Monaco Grand Prix. Sasha sent hard copies of all paperwork which made it much easier than looking on our phones. We had a 1 day / night in Nice before the Cruise, - he hotel was very nice and central for going out in the day / night and then only a 10 mins walk to the port to pick up our cruise. I asked for an end of aisle seat at the Grand Prix as my husband has a bad left knee and easier to sit at the end of aisle. - This request was delivered. We will definitely use Mulberry Travel again. Sasha and her colleagues did a fantastic job helping organising our honeymoon, arranging everything; sorting the flights and transfers and picking the hotels for the two centre trip to Verona and Lake Garda that we wanted. Everything went smoothly from the flights, the transfers from Verona airport to the hotel in Verona, between Verona and Sirmione and the return to the airport, the hotels and the Opera (which was a highlight).

We have just returned from seeing Andrea Bocelli in Italy. The whole trip was organised by Mulberry Travel. I cant recommend them highly enough. They organised everything from flights to transfers to accommodation and also tickets for the concert. Everything ran seamlessly. The Hotel L'Orologia in Florence was one if their recommendations. It was beautiful and centrally situated on a lovely piazza. Transfers to and from the airport and the concert ran like clockwork. I will certainly be booking with Mulberry Travel again for any trips. It took the worry out of organising myself which I would normally do.
