Paris to Venice – Detailed Itinerary

Day One

• Your journey begins in Paris aboard the gleaming Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. Settle into your elegant cabin, sip chilled champagne and watch the city fade as you glide south through France’s sunlit countryside. Savor a refined lunch in a beautifully restored dining car while admiring the scenery. Later, enjoy delicate pastries with tea or coffee in your cabin.
• As evening falls, dress for a gastronomic dinner featuring seasonal ingredients and fine wines or non-alcoholic pairings. Conclude the night in Bar Car ‘3674,’ where live piano music, signature cocktails and timeless elegance create an atmosphere of pure glamour.

Day Two

• Wake to breathtaking Alpine views, with breakfast served in your cabin by your steward. As the train glides past the Dolomites and across the Venetian Lagoon, anticipation builds for your arrival in La Serenissima. A delectable lunch takes place on board.
• On arrival at Santa Lucia station, a boat transfer whisks you across the canals to Hotel Cipriani, your heavenly home for the next two nights. With sweeping views of the lagoon and a reputation for refined service, Hotel Cipriani is the epitome of Venetian glamour. Spend the afternoon at leisure, whether unwinding by the legendary pool, exploring the hotel’s Casanova Gardens or indulging in a treatment at the brand new Spa.

Day Three

• Begin your day with a sumptuous breakfast overlooking the lagoon before exploring Venice’s artisanal heritage. Enjoy an exclusive visit to Orsoni Fornace, the city’s last glass mosaic foundry, normally closed to the public. Discover the famed Color Library with over 3,500 shades of smalti and watch artisans handcraft gold tesserae in a centuries-old tradition. Alternatively, stay at Hotel Cipriani for a Bellini-making class at Bar Gabbiano and master Venice’s signature cocktail.
• As evening falls, gather at the newly renovated ORO restaurant, where Chef Massimo Bottura and Head Chef Vania Ghedini offer a refined interpretation of Venetian flavours beside the lagoon, a perfect finale to your Venetian stay.

Day Four

• After breakfast, make sure to take a last lingering look over the lagoon before bidding farewell and departing at your leisure. Transfer are available to take you to the train station or airport for you return or onward journey.
