We are delighted to be able to confirm some very special appearances for the 2019 performances: On the 1st performance on Thursday 25th July, Bit award winner and Best-Selling artist, Mika will duet with Andrea. Saturday 27th July, Andrea is joined by his talented son Matteo Bocelli and multi Grammy Award winner Dua Lipa. We are pleased to be able to announce that Andrea Bocelli will return to his home town of Lajatico to perform at the stunning Teatro del Silenzio for the first of 2 performances on Thursday 25th July 2019. Following the 2018 edition where Andrea took lead role in his favourite Opera – Andrea Chénier, 2019 sees a return to the usual format with Andrea Bocelli in Concert. The 14th Edition of this unique event is entitled “Ali di libertà” and explores the human fascination of flight over time. The 2019 production promises to be his best yet as, for the first time, the concert will be entirely recorded by television cameras. Our ATOL bonded packages are fully flexible and include a stay in a luxury hotel in either Florence, Italy’s “Renaissance City” or at a secluded luxury Tuscan Hotel. 2018 – André Chénier by Umberto Giordano

Andrea Chénier is a verismo opera in four acts by the composer Umberto Giordano and remains Andrea Bocelli’s favourite opera. Loosely based on the life of the French Poet André Chénier (1762–1794), who was executed during the French Revolution. This Opera, in combination with the unique venue that is Lajatico, provided the perfect platform for Andrea Bocelli to exploit the magnificent lyrical-dramatic music for the tenor lead.

A great spectacle with sumptuous sets and a talented guest list. No one could have failed to be moved by the wonderful voice of the maestro as he performed Nessun Dorma and the Gladiator song to great applause!

Teatro del Silenzio – The Theatre of Silence

Teatro del Silenzio – The Theatre of Silence is so named as the silence is broken just once a year in order for Andrea Bocelli to perform. Construction was completed and the venue was first used in 2006. Located in Lajatico set in the Tuscan Hills, this open air amphitheatre is a unique backdrop to a most special and rare annual concert. 2015 saw the Teatro del Silenzio celebrate its 10th anniversary which saw Andrea Bocelli uniquely perform two separate shows to mark the occasion. Sasha and her colleagues did a fantastic job helping organising our honeymoon, arranging everything; sorting the flights and transfers and picking the hotels for the two centre trip to Verona and Lake Garda that we wanted. Everything went smoothly from the flights, the transfers from Verona airport to the hotel in Verona, between Verona and Sirmione and the return to the airport, the hotels and the Opera (which was a highlight).

We have just returned from seeing Andrea Bocelli in Italy. The whole trip was organised by Mulberry Travel. I cant recommend them highly enough.
