Andrea Bocelli Lajatico Concert – 28th July 2022
2022 Concert Details
The second international guest joining Maestro Andrea Bocelli on stage at the seventeenth edition of Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico on July 28th is going to be the German, naturalized American, violinist and composer David Garrett.
Garrett collaborated with the Maestro on the song “Ma Dove Sei”, included on the “Garrett Vs Paganini” album (Decca, 2013), performed live in several shows all around the world, but presented on the natural stage of Teatro Del Silenzio for the very first time.
Besides his appearance in Lajatico, David Garrett is taking his Alive Tour around Italy for six more dates (Rome, Genoa, Milan, Bologna, Bolzano and Conegliano).
David Garrett is one of the most multifaceted violinist in the world, so much that his live performances are often mixed with pop/rock tunes, an example is his Rock Symphonies album where he blends classic authors like Vivaldi and Beethoven with rock bands such as U2, Nirvana, Metallica and Aerosmith.
A Paganini among pop stars and a Jimi Hendrix among violinists, DAVID GARRETT is the “Devil’s Violinist” of our age, an international superstar who blurs the lines between Mozart and Metallica. Praised for pioneering the modern crossover trend as well as his exceptionally virtuous playing, David is equally at home at performing the most intricate classical compositions with the world’s leading conductors and orchestras as well as the most crowd-pleasing stadium rock hits. Admired by millions of fans around the world, DAVID GARRETT has sold millions of tickets so far and earned 25 gold and 17 platinum awards. He combines rock star charisma with the kind of virtuosity innate only to the best instrumentalists of our time.

2019 – “Ali di libertà” – Wings of Freedom
The performance of Ali di libertà takes inspiration from the 500th anniversary of the death of the aeronautical visionary – Leonardo da Vinci. From the myth of Icarus to the genius of Leonardo’s flying machine, this magical evening promises to excite the senses as Andrea is joined by acclaimed international stars of “bel canto” performing the most popular “classics” and the most beloved songs.
2018 – André Chénier by Umberto Giordano
Andrea Chénier is a verismo opera in four acts by the composer Umberto Giordano and remains Andrea Bocelli’s favourite opera. Loosely based on the life of the French Poet André Chénier (1762–1794), who was executed during the French Revolution. This Opera, in combination with the unique venue that is Lajatico, provided the perfect platform for Andrea Bocelli to exploit the magnificent lyrical-dramatic music for the tenor lead.
Andrea Bocelli Lajatico Concert – 2017
A great spectacle with sumptuous sets and a talented guest list. No one could have failed to be moved by the wonderful voice of the maestro as he performed Nessun Dorma and the Gladiator song to great applause!
Teatro del Silenzio – The Theatre of Silence
Teatro del Silenzio – The Theatre of Silence is so named as the silence is broken just once a year in order for Andrea Bocelli to perform. Construction was completed and the venue was first used in 2006.
Located in Lajatico set in the Tuscan Hills, this open air amphitheatre is a unique backdrop to a most special and rare annual concert. 2015 saw the Teatro del Silenzio celebrate its 10th anniversary which saw Andrea Bocelli uniquely perform two separate shows to mark the occasion.
