Andrea Bocelli will return to his hometown of Lajatico in Tuscany on Thursday 22 July 2027 for the 22nd edition of the Teatro del Silenzio. The concert is scheduled to begin at 8:30pm in the extraordinary open-air amphitheatre set among the Tuscan hills where Andrea Bocelli was born and raised.
The annual Andrea Bocelli concert in Lajatico has become one of Tuscany’s most distinctive summer music events, bringing together world-class music, spectacular staging and the remarkable landscape of the Teatro del Silenzio. The programme and guest artists for the 2027 performance will be announced in the coming months.

The date for the Andrea Bocelli Lajatico 2027 concert has now been confirmed. Andrea Bocelli will perform at the Teatro del Silenzio on Thursday 22 July 2027 as the celebrated open-air event returns for its 22nd edition.
The Teatro del Silenzio occupies a spectacular natural setting in the countryside outside Lajatico, Andrea Bocelli’s birthplace in Tuscany. For the annual event, the landscape is transformed into an open-air concert venue attracting visitors from around the world.

Andrea Bocelli’s performances in Lajatico have developed into one of the most eagerly anticipated annual events in Tuscany. Previous editions have featured major international artists, ambitious productions and special celebrations of Bocelli’s career.
2026 – Romanza 30th Anniversary
Andrea Bocelli returned to the Teatro del Silenzio in July 2026 for two sold-out performances celebrating the 30th anniversary of Romanza, the landmark album first released in 1996.

2024 – Andrea Bocelli 30th Anniversary Celebration
The 2024 edition celebrated 30 years of Andrea Bocelli’s extraordinary career. Three evenings in the Tuscan hills brought together a remarkable line-up of international performers and special guests including Ed Sheeran, Jon Batiste, Russell Crowe, Shania Twain, David Foster, Laura Pausini, Zucchero, Giorgia, Matteo Bocelli, Virginia Bocelli, Plácido Domingo, José Carreras, Lang Lang, Aida Garifullina and Bryn Terfel.
2023
In summer 2023 the Teatro del Silenzio once again became the setting for a unique Andrea Bocelli performance under the artistic direction of Alberto Bartalini, co-creator of the event.
2022
With most international travel restrictions removed, clients were once again able to experience an evening of music at the Teatro del Silenzio, led by Andrea Bocelli and joined by acclaimed guests and international artists.
2020 / 2021
The global Covid-19 pandemic resulted in the planned 2020 Andrea Bocelli Lajatico performance being postponed until 2021. Many Mulberry Travel clients transferred their arrangements to the following year, while clients who chose to cancel were fully refunded by Mulberry Travel. The concert returned in 2021, although continuing international travel restrictions still affected many overseas visitors.
2019 – “Ali di libertà” – Wings of Freedom
The 2019 production of Ali di libertà took inspiration from the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci. From the myth of Icarus to Leonardo’s flying machines, the production combined the setting of Lajatico with Andrea Bocelli and acclaimed international stars of bel canto.
2018 – André Chénier by Umberto Giordano
The 2018 Teatro del Silenzio production featured André Chénier, Umberto Giordano’s four-act verismo opera. The combination of the dramatic score, Andrea Bocelli and the unique open-air setting of Lajatico created a memorable edition of the annual event.
Andrea Bocelli Lajatico Concert – 2017
The 2017 performance delivered another spectacular production at the Teatro del Silenzio, with elaborate staging and a distinguished guest list. Andrea Bocelli’s performance included favourites such as Nessun Dorma.
Teatro del Silenzio, Lajatico – The Theatre of Silence
The Teatro del Silenzio is an extraordinary open-air venue set among the rolling hills outside Lajatico in Tuscany, the birthplace of Andrea Bocelli. Created in 2006 within a natural amphitheatre, it has become closely associated with Bocelli’s annual summer performances.
For most of the year the landscape remains quiet and largely returns to its natural state. Each summer it is transformed for a limited number of performances, creating a temporary open-air theatre in which music, art and the Tuscan landscape become part of the same experience.
Its setting near Lajatico, in the province of Pisa, makes the Teatro del Silenzio very different from a conventional concert arena and is one of the reasons the annual Andrea Bocelli event attracts an international audience to Tuscany.
