Day One - Arrive Bangkok
  • You are met at the airport in Bangkok and escorted to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
  • Once you have settled in to your superior Garden Wing room with a full river view, take the opportunity to explore Bangkok or simply relax and enjoy the hotel facilities.

Day Two - Explore Bangkok
  • There’s plenty to so and see in the ‘City of Angels’. With funky markets, upmarket malls, a riverside full of surprises, a vibrant nightlife scene and many fabulous sights and attractions that reflect its unique heritage.
  • Enjoy a guided half day excursion by boat to the Grand Palace, Bangkok’s main tourist attraction.

Day Three - Eastern & Oriental Express

  • A Belmond representative will meet you at your hotel and escort you to Hualampong Station where you climb aboard the Eastern & Oriental Express.
  • Travel through Bangkok past the legendary River Kwai and onwards to Malaysia in unparalleled style.
  • Depart from Bangkok and settle into your private Pullman cabin as the train rolls through the countryside.
  • Dinner is served in one of the luxurious dining cars. Afterwards, head to the Bar Car to relax with fellow travelers or retire to your cosy converted cabin.

Day Four - Eastern & Oriental Express

  • After breakfast, disembark at the River Kwai Bridge station for a leisurely cruise along the river guided by a local historian.
  • Later in the morning, join an optional visit to an evocative war museum and war cemetery.

Day Five - Eastern & Oriental Express

  • Spend the morning watching the changing scenery with breakfast in bed as the train travels through Malaysia.
  • After brunch, disembark at the Butterworth station and cross to Penang Island, exploring its pre-World War II mosques, temples, churches, bazaars and shophouses.
  • Rejoin the train for a refreshing cocktail accompanied by live piano music before a glamorous final dinner on board.

Day Six - Singapore - The end of the line

  • Arrive at Woodlands Station, Singapore and disembark for your transfer to the ledgendary Raffles Hotel. This colonial-style Hotel has become an iconic feature of Singapore and is possibly the most recognised Hotel in the world.
  • Once you have settled in to your Courtyard Suite, simply relax in the luxurious surrounds of the Raffles. Partake in a Singapore Sling or two, or head out into the city and take in the sights.
Day Seven - Raffles Hotel, Singapore


Explore Singapore from the luxurious base of the legendary Raffles Hotel. Singapore has a pleasant, tropical climate year round, varying from an average of 28 – 32 degrees Celsius during the day to 23 – 27 degrees Celsius in the evenings. It is not unusual to have intermittent showers on a sunny day but the showers rarely last long and they provide a cool respite.

Enjoy a half-day guided “Cultural” Tour of Singapore and dip into the long rich history of Singapore. Afterwards, retire back to the Raffles and order up the Singapore Slings!

Day Eight - Day Thirteen - Six Nights in Bali


After breakfast, your transfer will take you to Singapore Airport for your flight to Bali.

On arrival, your Belmond representative will take you to the luxurious Belmond Jimbaran Puri Hotel and Spa.

After the adventures of the first 7 days, get some true rest and recouperation. Package includes a Garden view Cottage Suite. The Jimbaran Puri sits on one of Bali’s most beautiful beaches.
