Day 5 (26MAY) Livorno, Italy

Coach Transfer to Florence

Giotto, Brunelleschi, Botticelli and Michelangelo made their marks of genius here. This cradle of the Renaissance owes its UNESCO status to the overwhelming influence the city and its museums, churches, architecture and artworks have had on Europe and, ultimately, the world. Vestiges of this enlightened period are everywhere today – at the Uffizi gallery, the Palazzos Pitta and Vecchio and throughout the city streets.

Day 6 (27MAY) At Sea

Time to relax and unwind onboard with Crystal’s Six-Star service.

Day 7 (28MAY) Valetta, Malta

A treasure trove of cultures, Valletta is a monument to the past, founded in 1566 by the Grand Master of the Knights of St. John. Be sure to see the Magisterial Palace and St. John’s Cathedral, lavishly decorated with the coats of arms and banners of the crusading knights. Beyond Valletta, the countryside, although austere and rocky, has a special charm.

Day 8 (29MAY) Palmero, Sicily

At first blush, Palermo dazzles with colorful and energetic vibe, creating a captivating façade throughout the streets, which are lined with cupolas and vestiges of the Byzantine era and baroque periods. Look further and find less apparent delights like hidden chapels and vintage shops amidst a growing landscape of innovative eateries and grand historical treasures.

Day 9 (30MAY) Amalfi, Italy

An idyllic vision to behold, Amalfi is rocky peaks skirted by verdant shrubbery, colorful buildings clinging to the hillsides, and a small harbor dotted by vessels of assorted sizes and lineage. The enchantment doesn’t end with dramatic coastal scenery. A range of cultural quirks further piques the senses, particularly the area’s famed lemons, grown in terraced gardens, appearing as a motif on ceramics and put to delectable good use in limoncello liqueur.

Day 10 (31MAY) Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Debark ship. Why not add a stay at a recommended Rome Hotel.
