But it’s the peerless views of the countryside and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez that sets Gassin apart from other French villages. Take time to drink in the magnificent panoramas. Then, drive to a family-run winery, where for generations the vintners have passed on their expertise and passion for crafting fine wines. You will savor the unique vintages produced here and sample other spectacular varieties from this premier wine-making region in southern France.

St. Tropez Walking Tour:

Meet your guide on the pier for an enjoyable walking tour of Saint-Tropez. With the foothills of the Maures Massif rising behind it, Saint-Tropez Bay is one of the most picturesque sites of the South of France, and is notoriously well-known as the international jet-set rendezvous.
The old fishing village is today a lively seaside resort, which has kept its Provençal culture and traditions. You will enjoy a walking tour of the old town with its picturesque atmosphere and its lively squares such as the famous “Place des Lices” where the locals meet to play “boules”.
During your visit, you will also discover the small Annonciade Museum situated on the harbor, with its fine collection of arts, sculptures and paintings covering the period from 1890 – 1940 and confirming the important role St-Tropez played in the Post-Impressionist movement (paintings from Paul Signac and Matisse amongst others). Approximately 1-hour will be spent visiting the museum. The 2008 temporary exhibition on the museum’s ground floor is dedicated to the French Neo-impressionist, Maximilien Luce.
Following your guided tour of St-Tropez, enjoy having some free time for shopping and strolling or walking back to the pier for tendering over to the ship.

Sanary-sur-Mer ::
Discover quaint Sanary-Sur-Mer, with its colorful pointu fishing boats, pastel buildings along the small beautiful bay and its reputation as the sunniest place in France. Explore the daily open-air market and the St. Nazaire Church with its iconic tower and beautiful frescoes. Visit the Media Museum and the Diving Museum. Look for unique souvenirs of regional treasures; herbs de Provence, lavender infused honey, soaps, sachets, chocolate, fine wine and cotton clothing. Enjoy the vibrant café culture. Order the regional Provencal specialty bouillabaisse. Relax over a glass of wine in the intoxicating breezes known as Mistral of this seaside haven.
Aix En Provence:

“Travel to the charming and historic town of Aix en Provence on this captivating half-day tour.
Boarding your coach at the pier, you will embark on a picturesque 1 hour drive through the scenic Provence countryside as you travel towards Aix en Provence, an elegant and well-preserved town that is filled with history and character.
Upon arrival, you will enjoy a guided walking tour that has you strolling through narrow lanes paved with cobblestone in the Vieux Aix as you make your way to the celebrated Cours Mirabeau. Filled with an intertwining arbor of green plane trees, the avenue is the town’s liveliest area, and the point where the medieval streets to the north merge with the sophisticated 18th century mansions to the south.
Another of the town’s highlights you will see is the Cathedral Saint Sauveur, with its remarkable carved pillars and slender colonnades. The Cathedral was built over the course of several centuries, dating back as early as the 5th century and on through the 15th century. It is perhaps best-known for its interesting combination of architectural styles and the remarkable art masterpieces housed inside. The Cathedral initially served as a pre-Roman pagan temple before becoming a Roman temple, and then finally, the Christian church that stands today.
Before it’s time to re-board your coach for the return trip to the pier, you will have time at your leisure to stroll about this delightful town and do shopping at one of the boutiques, or perhaps enjoy refreshments at one of the lovely local cafés.

Le Castellet and Wine Tasting:

Those who love wine and spectacular scenery will appreciate this relaxing tour that takes you into the Village of Castellet, which will enchant you with its typical and picturesque, Provencal setting.
Castellet is a captivating hilltop village, perched on a wooded hill above the vineyards, and is filled with well-preserved historical buildings, such as a church built in the 12th century and a castle dating back in part to the 11th century. Entering by one of the two fortified gates, Le Portail or Le Portalet, you will commence your visit with a guided walking tour through the narrow streets that lead uphill towards the Castle, now home to the Town Hall. As you stroll through the small sloping streets, you will pass by the marvelous St. Sauveur church with its beautiful windows, while making your way towards the Trou de Madame. From this wonderful viewpoint, you can experience breathtaking views inland towards Ste. Baume.
Following your guided walking tour, you will be afforded free time to explore the arts and craft workshops in the area. As you wind your way along the small streets, you will find yourself surrounded by the potter’s and the leather craftsman’s workshops, as well as shops selling candles, ceramics and jewelry. All of these nestled alongside art galleries and ice cream parlors.
Rejoining your group, it’s time to proceed to the Domaine de Souviou Winery (or similar), a renowned local vineyard that produces fine wine and rare olive oil. Beautifully tucked away in a vineyard estate, it is surrounded by olive trees in a lovely natural setting. After visiting the estate with its charming chapel, surrounding vineyards and olive trees, you will be treated to a tasting of the vineyard’s delicious red and rosé wines, along with light snacks and refreshments.
At the conclusion of what will surely be a memorable experience, you will rejoin your coach for the drive back to the pier in Sanary.

Palma de Mallorca ::
Mallorca, also known as Majorca, is a wind-swept island with steep jagged cliffs and olive groves more than a thousand years old. Mallorca is an island of contrasts. To the south is a busy tourist area with hotels, bars, restaurants, shopping and dazzling night life. To the north are rocky valleys, sleepy villages shrouded in bougainvillea, and breathtaking views. Palma is dominated by the breathtaking Gothic Cathedral, located high above the waterfront on the site of a former mosque.
Palma, Tapas & Flamenco Show:

See some of Palma’s highlights and then enjoy a real Flamenco show while being treated to some delicious traditional tapas.
Boarding your coach at the pier, you’ll make your way to the city center, viewing some of Palma’s landmarks en route. Upon arrival, you’ll follow your guide on foot and have exterior visits of Palma’s Gothic-style Cathedral and the Almudaina Palace. As you stroll through the narrow streets of the beautiful old town, you’ll also have a chance to admire historic palaces that are nowadays residences for the wealthy families of Palma. Some free time after your guided walk allows you to browse on your own and shop for souvenirs.
Rejoining your coach and guide, you’ll next experience the real roots of Spain as you savor a typical tapas lunch served with wine and sangria, all while enjoying an entertaining Flamenco show. You will no doubt be enthralled as you watch this time-honored Spanish ballet with its hints of a modern trend that features Flamenco dancing accompanied by Spanish guitar and drum box music. Afterwards, your coach stands ready to transfer you directly back to the cruise ship pier.

Santa Catarina Wine Cellar

Geared toward wine lovers, this tour gives you the opportunity to sample some of Palma’s finest wines and then explore the enclave of Puerto de Andratx.
Boarding your coach at the pier, you’ll commence a scenic seventy-five minute drive to one of the most beautiful valleys on the island of Mallorca. En route, you will pass the spectacular bay of Camp de Mar and then head to Capdellá where the Bodegas Santa Catarina is located. The most striking part of this Bodega is the fantastic sandstone cave where their quality wine matures in oak barrels. The Bodega grows French grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay and produces approximately a half million bottles per year.
The soft Mediterranean breeze creates a unique microclimate in the Tramuntana Mountains that has an effect on the French grape varieties and explains the high quality of the Mallorcan wines. After the Bodega visit, you’ll have the chance to see the different procedures used during the winemaking, followed by a wine tasting and typical Mallorcan snack.
Before returning to Palma, you’ll have some free time to stroll about Puerto de Andratx. Just a few years ago, this quaint town was mainly just the home of local Mallorcans. That has changed in recent years after an influx of foreign investment and a facelift made served to make it an increasingly popular holiday destination and several celebrities are known to visit here during the summer months.
Your route back to the pier includes a panoramic drive through Palma to view the capital’s main monuments.

Taste of the Past:

This tour delves into Mallorca’s intriguing history, beginning in an area of the island called Pla de Sant Jordi, or Saint Jordi’s Plain, where windmills still dot the landscape. Here, Mallorca’s rich agricultural customs live on at Els Calderers, an 18th century manor house, which the owners have graciously opened to the public in an effort to share the traditions of Mallorca.
Stroll at your leisure through the impressive Great Hall, Hunting Room, kitchen, and into the wine cellar, where you may sample some locally produced vintages. “Mi casa es su casa” has never rung so true.
Your next stop is Bellver Castle, which was constructed in the early 1300s, during the reign of Jaime I of Mallorca. It is the only circular Gothic castle in Europe with a double gallery of arches inside the central patio. The castle also affords some marvelous views of Palma.
Afterwards, you’ll rejoin your coach and travel back to the pier.

Ibiza is often called the “White Island” due to its abundance of whitewashed houses. Part of the Balearic Islands, it is covered with limestone hills and topped by lush pine forests. Winding lanes take visitors through cobbled streets to admire the stunning views across the bay or to a blissful calm amidst the action. Designer shops, fine restaurants, neighboring beaches and a thriving nightlife add to the excitement Ibiza has become world famous for.
Ibiza Beach Break:
Seated Tour

For those who are ready to enjoy a relaxing day at the beach, this tour is exactly what you are looking for.
A 20-minute coach transfer from the pier brings you to the longest stretch of beach on the island, Playa D’en Bossa. This vibrant resort offers up inviting clear blue waters and golden sands, making it an ideal spot for sunning, swimming and beach activities. Playa D’en Bossa also offers a variety of other activities that range from the super trendy, to the more laid back.
The area of the beach that is closest to Ibiza Town is alive with action and has plenty of restaurants, bars and shops available to explore. For those that prefer a bit calmer and quieter experience, you will want to settle in at the far end of the beach near the watch tower. From either end of the beach, you will still have excellent views of Ibiza’s Old Town.
After approximately 3 hours at your leisure, it’s time to meet your coach for the return transfer to the pier.
Panoramic Ibiza & Santa Eulalia:

Discover the many facets of Ibiza by visiting several distinct villages on the island, each with its own personality and irresistible allure.
Depart from the pier and settle for a scenic drive around Ibiza, a striking island of pine forests and World Heritage sites. Ibiza is so diverse that it’s difficult to categorize, making this excursion all the more attractive because its presents so many different sides of Ibiza.
It begins in the atmospheric Old Town, known as the Dalt Vila, a walled area of narrow streets, fashionable boutiques and architectural gems such as Almudaina Castle. Divided into an upper and lower town that extends to the harbor, this well-preserved medieval district exudes so much history that in 1999 it was declared a World Heritage site.
Next, you will travel inland where you will stop for photos in Balafia, which is considered the island’s only surviving Moorish settlement. Much of Balafia is beautifully whitewashed, and the views are absolutely spectacular because the village is centrally located atop a hill. To the east lies the village of San Carlos, where you will enjoy another photo stop. While it dates back 2,500 years, San Carlos is recognized less for its past and more for its laidback, tranquil atmosphere, which in the 1960s attracted a community of artists and hippies.
Returning to the coast, you will then enjoy some free time to explore Santa Eulalia, a resort town with extraordinary restaurants, exquisite shopping and inspiring art galleries. Afterwards, you will return to the pier.

One of Europe’s most visually stunning cities, Barcelona balances the medieval intimacy of its Gothic Quarter with the grace and distinction of the wide boulevards in the Moderniste Eixample. It was the home of architect Antoni Gaudí, whose Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Park Güell and Casa Milà are the most profound statements of Modernisme. View the splendid works at the Picasso Museum and the Miro Foundation, or discover Barcelona’s passionate ambiance at a flamenco show.
Bodegas Torres Wine Tour:

Some of the world’s finest wines are born in the vineyards of Spain. During this excursion you will visit a local winery and experience how a family wine is produced and bottled.
Boarding your coach at the pier, you’ll start your day with a panoramic tour of Barcelona, and before proceeding to Torres Winery, you will enjoy spectacular views of the harbour and the Olympic Stadium from the Park of Montjuïc. A scenic drive of just over 1-hour brings you to the village of Vilafranca del Penedès, which has a reputation for producing wonderful wines, and the Bodegas Torres Wine Estate.
This well-respected winery was founded in 1870 by Jaime Torres and at this time, is the family winery that has the most extensive vineyards in the area. The winery has remained in the family for generations and is currently managed by the fourth generation of the Torres family. Along with the winery you will visit today, the Torres family also owns several other wineries in Spain, one in Chile and one in California.
Upon arrival, you will be treated to a tour of the cellars and observe how this family wine is produced and bottled – from planting vineyards to winemaking, from the ageing of the wine in the cellars, to the design and marketing of the Torres products. A video presentation helps bring the history of the winery to life and afterwards, you will board a small train which will take you on a relaxing tour through the winery.
Before returning to Barcelona, you will be treated to a tasting of 4 different Torres wines, accompanied by light snacks.

Indulge your senses with the art and flavors of Spain during this full-day journey to Figueres’ Dali Museum, and a memorable lunch at the renowned Relais Chateaux hotel, Mas de Torrent.
Depart the pier with your guide for the 1.5-hour drive past Barcelona’s main beaches and areas under construction, then on to Figueres. En route, you will drive along the Costa Brava, and admire the landscape of this beautiful Catalonian region.
Upon arrival in Figueres, you will proceed for a visit to the Dali Museum. Formerly Figueres’ local theater, the museum was opened in 1974 and was the site of Savador Dali’s first exhibition. Enormous eggs surround the rooftop of the museum’s exterior Galatea Tower; its interior décor is influenced by Dali’s work. During your guided museum tour, you will view the works of Dali, El Greco, Fortuny and others. You will also see objects of art and surrealistic setups that include the Rainy Day, or Taxi Pluvioso, and the Portrait of Mae West displayed in a living room.
Following your museum tour and some time at your leisure, your drive will continue on to the town of Torrent and its renowned Relais Chateaux hotel, Mas de Torrent. A mas was an old Catalunya manor house, many of which dotted the Mediterranean coastline. The Mas de Torrent is a 5-star-hotel, and its restaurant offers the area’s finest cuisine.
After a leisurely lunch at the Mas de Torrent, you will re-board your coach for the 1.5-hour return drive to the pier in Barcelona.

Naxos is gateway to the island of Sicily’s strategically significant northeastern region. From this port city, it is a short transfer to Taormina, resting 820 feet above the sea and overlooking imposing Mount Etna. In the early 20th century, Taormina became a colony for expatriate artists and writers, including D H Lawrence. Highlights of any tour of this city would include the remarkably preserved Roman-style Greek Theater, whose acoustics are still appreciated in performances today; the splendid 15th century Palazzo Corvaia; and the Odeon, a small Imperial Age theater set amidst colorful public gardens.
Hidden Sicily – in the Footsteps of the Godfather

Experience Sicily’s unparalleled beauty as featured in The Godfather film series during this scenic tour of Naxos, Savoca and Taormina.
Depart the pier for the brief drive through the small town of Naxos, founded by Greek colonizers in the 8th century BC. While driving along the coastal road, you will pass by villas, flowering gardens and picturesque villages en route to Santa Teresa, the largest coastal town between Messina and Taormina. From here, a picturesque road will take you inland to scenic Savoca, a village nestled between two hills. In a private house at the entrance of the village is the Bar Vitelli, which features a collection of local artisans’ tools and photographs taken when Francis Ford Coppola was in this area filming some scenes for The Godfather II.
Upon arrival, you will visit the Cappuccini Church, whose crypt houses 37 mummified bodies (standing in niches and fully-dressed) of 18th and 19th-century friars and nobles. There are about 30 steps to descend and ascend to reach the catacombs. After visiting Bar Vitelli, you will begin a slow walking tour along the village’s main street, then continue up the hill. Along the way, you will pass by several 15th- and 16th-century churches and the remains of a Norman Castle, and take in magnificent views of the valley.
Next, you will proceed for a brief drive toward Taormina, and a visit to Forza d’Agro. This charming little village overlooks the Arab-Norman castle of Capo Sant’Alessio, and the coastline towards Messina and the strait. In 1990, Al Pacino and Sophia Coppola came here to film some scenes for The Godfather III. From the main square, a lane leads up to circular steps that ascend to the Gothic-Catalan portal in front of the Church of St. Agostino, or Triade, which features a pleasant 15th-century facade.
After a visit to the Baroque-styled Chiesa Madre, you will re-board your coach for the return drive to the pier.

Sicilian Wine Roads

Explore Sicily’s historic winemaking tradition during this picturesque half-day visit to the wine region near Mt. Etna.
Sicily is Italy’s third most important wine and food destination after Tuscany and Piedmont. The distinct flavor of Sicily’s wine is due to the volcanic soil from Mt. Etna, the smoldering volcano that rises nearly 11,000 feet above the sea.
Depart the pier with your guide for a brief drive through the small town of Naxos, founded by Greek colonizers in the 8th century BC. You will continue on to Randazzo, located between the Alcantara and Simeto Rivers, and founded in Byzantine times. The remarkably well-preserved Randazzo is the most attractive of Etna’s villages, and built entirely of black volcanic stone. Upon arrival, you will visit the main square and Cathedral of Santa Maria Church, first constructed in the early-13th century, and subsequently rebuilt several times.
After a stop at a famous local patisserie in the Cathedral Square for a refreshing pistachio gelato, you will continue on to the Cottanera Estate. Its lands extend from the northern foothills of Mt. Etna at about 2,300 feet above sea level. The site of ancient volcanic eruptions, these lands are now extremely fertile, and continue down as far as the alluvial beds of the Alcantara River. The vineyards of Cottanera extend for 123 acres at 1,640 feet above sea level. You will tour the vineyard and cellar, then have an opportunity to taste their wines, which will be accompanied by some local delicacies.
Following your scenic vineyard tour and tasting, you will re-board the coach for the 75-minute return drive to the pier.
Please note: This tour involves travel over uneven surfaces, with 15 very steep steps to climb and no wheelchair access to the wine cellar; therefore, this tour is not available to wheelchair guests and not considered suitable for those with mobility concerns. Taormina and Greco-Roman Theater

The ancient city of Taormina is yours to discover during scenic and memorable visits to the Greek Theater, the Palazzo Corvaia and the Odeon.
Depart the pier for the 6-mile drive from the port of Giardini Naxos en route to Taormina. A hilly road will lead to the coach parking area where your guided walking tour will begin. This beautiful and renowned tourist resort is a small, Medieval town perched atop a cliff overlooking the Ionian Sea and Mount Etna. During the tour, you will visit the Greek Theater, known for its stunning location. This Roman-style theater was reconstructed in the 2nd century AD. It is in excellent condition, and has marvelous acoustics that are still appreciated in contemporary performances of classical plays.
From the upper tiers, you can take in spectacular views and photo opportunities of majestic Mount Etna, Europe’s largest active volcano. Other highlights include exterior visits to the splendid, 15th-century Palazzo Corvaia and the Odeon, a small Imperial Age theater featuring public gardens blossoming with flowers and color.
Afterward, some free time will be made available to explore Corso Umberto, Taormina’s busy main street. You can visit some of its many shops, or stop for coffee at the old Dominican monastery, now the deluxe Hotel San Domenico. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens filled with exotic foliage. At the appointed time, you will return to the coach for the drive back to the pier.

Valletta ::
Malta’s major port and capital, the entire city of Valletta was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. The centerpiece is the impressive 19th century Mosta Dome, visible from anywhere on the island, with its inlaid marble floor and the gilded, carved stone flowers set around the interior dome. For a tranquil afternoon, stroll the San Anton Palace Gardens, artistically laid out in Three Villages – Attard, Lija and Balzan. Or, for spectacular vistas, take a day tour to Dingli Cliffs, which offer striking views of the sea and rugged coastline. Valetta is also a portal to day trips to nearby Mdina, with its landmark Baroque Cathedral of St. John; and Rabat, the provincial township that was once part of the Roman city of Melita, where you can explore several fascinating archaeological digs.
A Taste of Malta

No tour of Malta is complete without visiting the Mosta Dome, your first stop. The famed 19th century church is visible from almost anywhere on the island. Its interior is just as impressive, especially the inlaid marble floor and the gilded, carved stone flowers set around the dome. Malta is also known for its fine wine, which you will sample at a local winery, before visiting the Ta’ Qali crafts village. During free time here, you can shop at your own pace, perhaps buying handicrafts such as ceramics, lace and glassware, which are made right on the premises. Another side of Malta shows itself at the formal San Anton Gardens, built and established by Grand Master Antoine de Paule, who ruled the island in the 1600s. The garden’s exotic flora includes palms, jacarandas and conifers, some of which are more than 300 years old.

Kotor ::
Kotor is a coastal town in Montenegro, located in a most secluded part of the Gulf of Kotor. The old port, surrounded by an impressive city wall built by the House of Nemanjicc, is very well preserved and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Numerous other attractions include the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon in the old town (built in 1166), and ancient walls which stretch directly above the city. Nightlife also attracts tourists to Kotor with pubs, taverns, cafes, and nightclubs.
Highlights of Montenegro

This tour follows a route that inspired Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw to proclaim, “I have heard that the road to Cetinje via Kotor is one of the most beautiful in the world, and that is the reason I have come.” You, too, will be mesmerized by the road’s natural beauty, as you pass majestic mountains on one side and a stunningly beautiful bay on the other. In Cetinje, once the center of Montenegrin rule, you will visit The Museum of King Nikola, followed by a scenic ride along the Budva Riviera, a resort area renowned for its beaches. Once in Kotor, you’ll soon see why the town was deemed a World Heritage Site. The old section of Kotor is well preserved and surrounded by a protective wall built in the Middle Ages. The city boasts many other architecturally important structures, including the Cathedral of Sveti Tripun and the Prince’s Palace.

Leisurely Kotor

This tour focuses entirely on the World Heritage Site of Kotor, where much of the architecture has a distinctive Venetian flair, a reminder that the Republic of Venice once ruled it. Fortified since the early Middle Ages, Kotor is surrounded by a protective wall that has withstood countless sieges over the centuries. Numerous historically important buildings lie within the walls, such as the Cathedral of St. Triphon, an imposing Romanesque basilica built in 1166. You’ll notice that its nave is separated from the aisles by alternating square pillars and antique columns. History abounds in the compact Old Town, which is one of the best preserved along the Adriatic. In the Maritime Museum, Kotor’s rich seafaring history is on display.

Split ::
Split is the largest Croatian city on the Adriatic coast. Split achieved fame when the Roman emperor Diocletian, noted for his persecution of early Christians, had his retirement palace built here. The spectacular stone edifice and its grounds and cellars are a major highlight of any city tour. Other points of interest include the Cathedral of St. Duje, built on the remains of an ancient shrine purported to be the oldest in the world; and the Mestrovic Gallery, where the impressive works of Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic are available for viewing in this home and atelier.
A Taste of Split

Indulge your senses with the splendid beauty and flavors of Dalmatia’s largest city during this memorable tour.
Departing the pier, you’ll begin with a panoramic drive through the town before arriving at your first stop, the Meštrovic Gallery. Ivan Meštrovic is the greatest Croatian sculptor of all times and a large part of his impressive work is displayed here in his house, which now serves as an important Croatian gallery.
Proceeding back into the center of town, you’ll embark on a guided walking tour of the city. The Old Town of Split is built on and around the spectacular Roman Palace erected by the Roman Emperor Diocletian (born in Salona – today’s Solin) in the 4th century. Your first visit is to the amazing Ethnographical Museum which is situated in the very heart of Diocletian Palace, actually in the Emperor’s Apartment. The Museum building itself is very interesting since it is a combination of a beautiful medieval house and stately imperial rooms. Within its walls you will not only find a valuable collection of clothes, dresses and gowns, but also gain an interesting picture of life in Split throughout the centuries.
You will also visit the Cathedral of St. Duje, the patron saint of the city. The cathedral is built on the remains of an ancient shrine that is thought to be the oldest of its kind in the world. An additional visit is planned to the charming Temple of Jupiter.
Re-joining your coach, it’s a short drive to Tinita, a restored wine cellar located in a 100-year-old house near the renowned Bacvice Beach. This cellar, which has been converted into a unique enoteka, is comprised of thick stone walls that keep the temperature cool and provide a unique atmosphere. Tinita is home to a wide selection of wines from all over the world, with an emphasis on the wines of Dalmatia. Upon arrival, you will be served smoked ham, cheese and domestic desserts, accompanied by a special selection of Dalmatian wines served in handmade glasses. Entertainment will be provided by a group of local singers and musicians performing traditional Dalmatian songs.
Your very special tour concludes with a return transfer to the ship.

Krka River National Park

Embrace Croatia’s pristine natural and geological beauty during this memorable tour and riverboat cruise in Krka National Park.
Depart the pier for the drive through the Karst Sibenik hinterland en route to the Krka National Park. One of Croatia’s seven national parks, Krka encompasses 55 square miles, and is noted for its geological, geomorphologic, hydrological, biological, and landscape elements. The Krka River is also a distinctive natural phenomenon due to its specific biocenosis and formation of gypsum barriers. The entire area is rich with endemic species of vegetation, birds and fish. As a result of rigid conservation laws, this extraordinary area has been preserved in its original form.
Upon arrival, you will take a guided tour of Krka National Park. The highlight of your tour will be a visit to the wonderful Skradinski Buk Waterfalls, which cascade over 17 natural barriers. The highest fall is 146 feet in height; Europe’s highest gypsum barrier. Above the falls, a large plateau offers spectacular panoramic views and photo opportunities. Depending upon availability, you may also be able view a small ethnological exhibition, and an old grinding mill that is still in operation to this day. If you wish, some free time is provided for you to further explore the immediate area around the falls via walking paths.
Next, you will embark a riverboat for a cruise to the picturesque river town of Skradin. Here, you will be treated to a tasty but simple lunch featuring local cuisine and wine.
Following lunch, you will re-join your coach for a relaxing and scenic drive back to the pier.

An ancient Mediterranean town, Koper lies on the northern coast of the Istrian peninsula, where the Adriatic Sea carves most deeply into the heart of Central Europe. As the capital town of Istria, in Italian, Koper is called Capodistira and translates as the head of Istria. The town’s prosperity has long been founded on maritime trade and today, this pulse is supported by the port of Koper which was founded 50 years ago and has allowed for Koper to become an important maritime gateway for Slovenia and other central and eastern European countries.
This lovely city that faces the sea, enjoys a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and warm and dry summers. Visitors and residents alike are treated to pleasant seaside vistas while being embraced by soft breezes. On days when the sirocco wind blows, the sky can turn an amazing color of scarlet, only serving to add to the allure of this destination.
Joining your local guide at the pier, your walking tour begins by climbing the 100 stairs that lead to the upper level of the town. Your approximately 90-minute stroll through the picturesque town center includes visits to the museum, Pretorian Palace and the Cathedral of St. Mary’s Assumption.

Secret Corners of Venice & Grand Canal

See the grandeur of Venice by motor launch, cruising down the Grand Canal, which bisects the city and then exploring further on foot.
Departing by motor launch, you will first proceed along the Giudecca Canal and skim Rio San Trovado to reach the Grand Canal, often called the “street” with the finest houses in the world. The beautiful palazzi that line the two-mile canal are architectural wonders that have been home to the likes of Wagner and Lord Byron.
Cruising by Rio delle Poste will allow you to view the house of the explorer Marco Polo before continuing on to the Laguna Nord and passing by the Cemetery of Venice. You will also have an opportunity to view Murano from a distance before disembarking your motor launch nearby Rialto Mercato where you will commence the walking part of your tour. Your walk through the charming narrow streets of Venice gives you an amazing close-up look of the city and takes you by Campo Santo Stefano and then on to the legendary Rialto Bridge area where you will have some time to browse around.
