First thing in the morning, your transfer will take you to meet the Rock Mountaineer train.

The train departs and breakfast is served as you pass through the fertile lands of the Fraser Valley which eventually give way to the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains. Lunch is served as the train travels onwards to Hell’s Gate with its raging water flow. Piney forest turns eventually into the abstract beauty of dusty desert hills as the train makes its way towards Kamloops.

On arrival in Kamloops, your transfer takes you to your hotel accommodation for the night.

Itinerary & Timetable

Prepare for another early check-out and transfer to the train. Check-in and step aboard where you enjoy breakfast as the train continues west along the South Thompson River past Craigellachie where the Last Spike was laid to complete the historic Canadian Pacific Railway. Lunch is served as the train passes through Rogers Pass with its glaciers. Then comes the dramatic climb through the engineering marvel of the Spiral Tunnels on the approach to Banff.

Your rail adventure comes to an end on arrival at Banff Station and onward travel.

Check-out of the hotel and transfer to the train. Check-in and step aboard where you enjoy breakfast as the train pull out of Kamloops. Rolling hills morph into snowy peaks before Pyramid Falls tumbles out of its hanging valley and falls 300 feet into the North Thompson River. Finally, the glittering Albreda Icefields and glorious Mount Robson mark the entry into the UNESCO world heritage site of Jasper.

Your rail adventure comes to an end on arrival at Jasper Station and onward travel.

The train departs and breakfast is served as you pass by the historic shorelines of Anderson and Seton Lakes, which allowed steamboats to open the interior of British Columbia for colonisation. Lunch is served as you pass through the semi-desert scrub of the Fraser Canyon and the Cariboo Plateau ranchlands. The day concludes as the train follows the Fraser River up into Quesnel.

Upon arrival, your transfer takes you to your hotel accommodation for the night.

Its an early start as you check out of the hotel for transfer to the train. Enjoy breakfast as the train continues east through northern British Columbia where the influence of the First Nations people is felt more strongly than anywhere else. The Rocky Mountain Trench gives way to the mountains that rise steeply to the north and south. After lunch, visitors will have a chance to photograph Mount Robson(12,972ft) before arriving at the heritage town of Jasper.

Your rail adventure comes to an end on arrival at Jasper Station and onward travel.
