ITINERARY

Day 1
Depart Dublin Heuston station and relax with an indulgent Irish afternoon tea.

Arrive in Belfast, and head off for a private, guided tour of The Titanic Experience, an award-winning attraction detailing the history of the ill-fated ocean liner.

Return to the train and enjoy a leisurely dinner followed by the evening’s entertainment.

Day 2
Awake to a tempting breakfast as the beautiful countryside passes by.

Disembark to visit the Giant’s Causeway, an astounding area of around 40,000 interlocking basalt columns.

Visit the Old Bushmills Distillery to uncover the secrets behind the 400-year-old whiskey and enjoy a sample or two.

A sumptuous dinner on board is complemented by a traditional local music performance in the Observation Car.

Day 3
Savour your last breakfast aboard as the train returns to Dublin, where you will disembark for your onward travel arrangements.

ITINERARY

Day 1
Depart from Dublin in the early afternoon and travel to Cork, enjoying afternoon tea en-route.

Arrive in Cork in the early evening and transfer to the Jameson Experience for a private tour. Learn about the history of the whiskey-making process before a tasting session.

Rejoin the train for a spectacular dinner as it continues to Charleville for the night.

Day 2
After breakfast, head off for a private tour of Blarney Castle and Gardens, home to the fabled Blarney Stone.

Return to Cork for an optional visit to the English Market, a spectacular culinary enclave selling the best local ingredients.

After lunch, continue to the Lakes of Killarney. A tour by traditional jaunting car, a pony and trap, is followed by a boating excursion on Lough Leane.

Back on board, dinner is served as the train journeys back to Limerick Junction for the night.

Day 3
Enjoy breakfast as the train heads north towards Galway, where you will exit the train for a city tour. Take the opportunity to visit one of the many local craft centers.

An optional excursion to the dramatic Cliffs of Moher will also be available during the day.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, accompanied by live music, champagne and oysters.

Head back on board for dinner as the train continues on to Athlone where it will stable for the night.

Day 4
Relax as the train winds through the countryside towards Westport.

Exit the train for a transfer to Ashford Castle, where you’ll enjoy an interactive falconry experience plus a guided walk of the hotel grounds.

Depart from the castle and head through the beautiful Connemara National Park.

Rejoin the train and savour a farewell gala dinner.

Day 5
The train makes its final journey back to Dublin, where you will disembark for your onward travel arrangements.

ITINERARY

Day 1
Board the train in Dublin in the early afternoon, and savour a delicious afternoon tea as the train begins its journey.

Arrive in Cork and visit the Jameson Experience. A private tour explores the history of the whiskey-making process, before guests are invited to participate in a tasting session.

Back on board, your first dinner is served as the train continues to Charleville, where it will stable for the night to ensure a good night’s rest.

Day 2
The day starts out with a private tour of Blarney Castle and Gardens where guests will have the opportunity to kiss the legendary Blarney Stone.

Return to Cork where there is an option to visit the English Market. Take a look through the best local produce on sale at this gastronomic hotspot.

Lunch is served on board before continuing to the Lakes of Killarney. A pony and trap tour is followed by a boating excursion across Lough Leane.

Head back to the train for dinner as it continues to Tralee and Limerick Junction.

Day 3
This morning your journey continues north to Galway for a tour. Lying on the River Corrib, let yourself be enchanted by this romantic city. Today, there will be an optional visit to the stunning Cliffs of Moher.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Champagne, oysters and live music set the scene for a fun-filled afternoon.

Return to the train for dinner as it continues on to Athlone.

Day 4
Breakfast is accompanied by stunning pastoral views from your cabin’s windows as the train continues to Westport.

Exit the train for an excursion to Ashford Castle. Activities available include an interactive falconry experience plus a guided walk of the gardens.

Your journey back to the train winds through the stunning Connemara National Park.

Day 5
Your journey winds back towards Dublin where you can enjoy an optional half-day tour of the vibrant Irish capital.

The train offers 16 twin and 4 double cabins for truly indulgent train ride vacations. All cabins are en-suite, with additional features including a wardrobe, writing desk and chair. Large windows let you admire the beautiful Irish landscape as it unfolds.

Befitting one of the most luxurious overnight trains in Europe, the cabins are fresh, light and contemporary yet steeped in heritage. Each carriage is named after an Irish county with cabins decorated to match their county’s traditional tartan.

Kerry boasts sophisticated shades of purple while Down features vibrant splashes of orange. Bold reds set the tone of Leitrim and cool blues welcome travellers in Waterford.

All double cabins can interconnect with twin cabins, making them an ideal option for families travelling together.
