Day 1 27th September 2020

Depart London mid-morning for your luxurious overnight journey to Venice, where you arrive late afternoon the next day. Board the Belmond British Pullman train train at London Victoria station, your steward will show you to your reserved seat. Sit back and enjoy Brunch served with a Bellini as you travel through the Kentish countryside. After crossing the Channel board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express train. Enjoy a delicious four-course dinner, prepared by our skilled French chefs. After dinner retire to your cabin, which has now been transformed into a cosy bedroom.

Day 2 28th September 2020

You awake to the magnificent scenery of the Swiss Alps as breakfast is served in your cabin at a time to suit you. Spend the morning relaxing in your cabin or in the Bar Car chatting to fellow guests. Enjoy a leisurely three-course lunch which is served in another one of the beautiful restaurant cars. While away the afternoon admiring the passing scenery as the train travels through the Italian Dolomites. Later, afternoon tea is served in your cabin. All too soon it is time to prepare to disembark as the train crosses the Venetian Lagoon and pulls into Santa Lucia station. Day 3 29th September 2020

Enjoy your time in Venice at leisure cruising on the Grand Canal, sipping a cappuccino watching the world go by or strolling through Rialto markets. This unique place is wonderful for sightseeing but also has some of the best designer shops in the world like Chanel, Gucci and Prada. Perhaps add a city tour.

Day 4 30th September 2020

After 2 nights in Venice, your shared VSOE water taxi will collect you from the hotel and take you back to Santa Lucia Station for an afternoon departure. A four course dinner will be served in one of the beautifully restored dining carriages. Enjoy an after-dinner drink in the bar car or retire to your cabin.

Day 5 1st October 2020

Breakfast is served in your cabin at a time to suit you. Spend the morning relaxing in your cabin taking in the beautiful scenery as the train heads towards Budapest. Later, enjoy a three-course lunch before arriving in Budapest mid-afternoon. Your private car transfer will be waiting to take you to your hotel. Day 6 2nd October 2020

Experience life at a slower pace in Budapest. Spend a perfect day exploring the city’s ancient architecture. Why not visit the Széchenyi Thermal Bath or take a river cruise on the Danube.

Day 7 3rd October 2020

After breakfast it’s time to check out of the hotel. Your driver will take you to Nyugati station where you board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express for the final overnight leg back to London. Lunch is served as you watch the beautiful scenery glide by. Perhaps listen to the pianist on the baby grand piano any try a cocktail before dinner is served.

Day 8 4th October 2020

Continental breakfast is brought to you by your steward to enjoy in your cabin. A delicious brunch is served in the restaurant cars as you travel on towards the Channel. After crossing the Channel board the Belmond British Pullman train for the journey to London. A traditional afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of English sparkling wine is served, before arriving at your destination, London Victoria at around 6pm.
