How the Verona Opera and Orient Express Package Works
This luxury holiday begins with a flight to Verona and a two-night stay in the city, giving you time to explore before attending an evening performance at the Arena di Verona Opera Festival. After your opera experience, you transfer to Verona Porta Nuova station and board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express for the overnight journey to Paris, followed by Eurostar travel to London.

2027 Venice Simplon-Orient-Express & Verona Opera Package
This is an example three-night itinerary. The performance may fall on either evening in Verona; additional hotel nights may be needed to fit your chosen train and opera dates.
Day One: Fly to Verona
- Fly from London to Verona. Regional departures may also be available.
- On arrival, a private driver will transfer you to your hotel in central Verona.
- Check in to your chosen hotel, such as the 4-star Hotel Indigo Grand Hotel Des Arts or the 5-star Due Torri Hotel.
- Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure in Verona, one of northern Italyās most atmospheric historic cities.
Day Two: Arena di Verona Opera
- Breakfast is included at your hotel.
- Spend the day exploring Verona, from Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori to Julietās Balcony and the Roman Arena.
- This evening, make your way to the Arena di Verona for your opera performance under the stars. Poltrona tickets are included, with upgrades available on request.
Day Three: Venice Simplon-Orient-Express from Verona to Paris
- After breakfast, transfer privately to Verona Porta Nuova station at the time confirmed in your travel documents.
- Board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and settle into your private cabin.
- Settle into life on board, with a three-course lunch and time to enjoy the changing scenery.
- In the evening, dress for a four-course dinner with sommelier-selected wines in one of the beautifully restored restaurant cars.
- Later, visit the Bar Car for cocktails and live piano music before retiring to your cabin for the night.
Day Four: Paris to London
- Enjoy breakfast on board as your journey continues towards Paris.
- The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express arrives into Paris.
- Transfer independently to Paris Gare du Nord for your Eurostar Premier service to London St Pancras. This cross-Paris transfer is not included in the guide price.
- Extended stays in Paris can be arranged on request.

Arena di Verona Opera Festival
The Arena di Verona Opera Festival is one of the great cultural events of the Italian summer, combining world-class opera with the extraordinary atmosphere of a Roman amphitheatre.
The festival began in 1913 with a performance of Aida to mark the centenary of Giuseppe Verdiās birth. Today, the Arena is transformed each summer into one of the worldās most spectacular open-air opera venues.
The 2027 season includes Aida in two different productions, La Traviata, Carmen and Nabucco. Prokofievās Romeo and Juliet brings full-length ballet back to the Arena, alongside gala evenings and concerts.

Poltrona tickets are included as standard. We will confirm the exact seating category and performance when quoting. Ticket upgrades are available on request, subject to availability.

Can the package start in Paris instead of Verona?
Yes. We can arrange the holiday in reverse, travelling aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express from Paris to Verona before your hotel stay and Arena performance. We will quote the appropriate Eurostar, flights and transfers for the reversed itinerary.
Is the transfer between Paris stations included?
Eurostar Premier travel from Paris to London is included in the standard itinerary. The transfer to Paris Gare du Nord is not included in the guide price; you can make your own arrangements or ask us to quote a private transfer.
