Dining On Board Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
Indulge in a sensational feast aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express train.Exceptional European cuisine is freshly prepared in the train’s kitchen by the Chef and his skilled team.
Fresh ingredients are taken on board at stops along the route. Look out the window and you may spot the chef inspecting lobsters from Brittany, tomatoes from Provence or saltmarsh lamb from Mont St Michel.
The set-menus with selected wines are an inclusive part of your trip. Additional drinks and à la carte options are also available at an additional charge. Guests are accommodated over 2 sittings with the evening meals scheduled at 18:00 and 21:00.

There are three restaurant carriages on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express all with their own unique feel and décor. The maître d’ will automatically schedule your meals to experience all the carriages. Should you have a particular preference, a particular dining carriage can be requested for each meal.

Built by the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company in 1927 was comissioned as a Pullman Kitchen Car. It has an Oriental theme with Chinese style laquer wall panels.

Built in 1929, this was originally a 1st Class Pullman Car used on the Cote d’Azur Pullman Express. The carriage features ornate glass panels by René Lalique.
