Day 1

25th June 2023

Economy flights with BA depart London Gatwick at 08:00 arriving Verona at 11:04 (Note Other Air arrangements are possible – contact us for more information.) Private Car transfer to Hotel. Check In to Grand Hotel Des Arts – perfectly located in the heart of Verona and very close to Juliet’s balcony and the Arena di Verona. After a day spent at leisure in Verona it’s time to make your way to the Arena di Verona, a huge 1st century Roman amphitheatre which is the perfect venue for the Historical arrangement of Aida. Poltrona (3rd category) ticket price is included (Poltronissima & VIP also available for supplement). Performance begins at 21:00

Day 2 – 3

26th June 2023 – 27th June 2023

Spending a a relaxing couple of days in this medieval city & really get a feel for Verona. Perhaps add a city tour or even take a guided day trip out to Lake Garda.

Day 4

28th June 2023

Depart Verona aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express Your steward will show you to your private cabin and will attend you throughout your journey. After you have settled in it will soon be time to enjoy a three-course lunch in one of the restaurant cars. Spend the afternoon relaxing in the comfort of your cabin gazing at the beautiful passing scenery. Afternoon tea is served in your cabin. A leisurely four-course dinner is served, prepared on board by our skilled French chefs. After dinner retire to your cabin which has now been transformed into a cosy bedroom.

Day 5

29th June 2023

Breakfast is served in your cabin by your steward at a time to suit you. The train pulls into Paris Gare de l’Est and halts for 40 minutes, take this opportunity to stretch your legs along the platform. A delicious brunch is served in the restaurant cars as you travel on towards the French coast for the Channel crossing. Join the Belmond British Pullman for the journey to London. A traditional afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of Champagne is served, before arriving at London Victoria station. Arrive London Victoria 17:45

The Hotel Mayfair was absolutely perfect for us, comfortable, elegant, and ideally located. The drivers throughout the weekend and for our airport transfers were excellent, especially Riswan, who drove us to and from the races. He was not only professional but also a wonderful guide, sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge of Paris and France, which really added to the experience. Attending the Arc itself was something we had wanted to do for many years, and we’re so glad to have finally experienced it. Sasha and her colleagues did a fantastic job helping organising our honeymoon, arranging everything; sorting the flights and transfers and picking the hotels for the two centre trip to Verona and Lake Garda that we wanted. Everything went smoothly from the flights, the transfers from Verona airport to the hotel in Verona, between Verona and Sirmione and the return to the airport, the hotels and the Opera (which was a highlight).

We have just returned from seeing Andrea Bocelli in Italy. The whole trip was organised by Mulberry Travel. I cant recommend them highly enough. They organised everything from flights to transfers to accommodation and also tickets for the concert. Everything ran seamlessly. The Hotel L'Orologia in Florence was one if their recommendations. It was beautiful and centrally situated on a lovely piazza. Transfers to and from the airport and the concert ran like clockwork. I will certainly be booking with Mulberry Travel again for any trips. After spending two days in Vienna my son and myself boarded the famous Orient Express train back to Paris and then onto London with Eurostar premium.
