Day 1

[jcolumns model=”3,7,”] [jcol/] Depart UK on a morning flight and arrive in Venice where a private water taxi transfer awaits to take you to The Aman Canal Grande. Upon arrival at the hotel you will dock at a private landing stage that leads directly into the palazzo’s Reception Hall. With its high ceilings and historic frescos and reliefs, the hall provides a sense of a bygone era of luxury. This immaculately restored palazzo dates back to the 16th Century and retains its original elegance and opulance with full length windows allowing uninterrupted views of the Grand Canal. Day 2

Discover Venice on one of the many tours we can arrange, here are a few examples: Venice highlights

• A half-day walking tour takes you to St Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace and other unmissable sights.

Hidden Venice

• Go off the beaten track and uncover the city’s secrets on a tour through the narrow alleyways.

Gondola tour

• Glide past baroque palaces and down backstreet canals, guided by a gondolier.

Day 3

• Board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express train at Venice Santa Lucia station.
• After you have settled in, it will soon be time to enjoy a three-course lunch in one of the restaurant cars.
• Spend the afternoon relaxing in the comfort of your cabin gazing at the beautiful passing scenery.
• Afternoon tea is served in your cabin.
• A leisurely four-course dinner is served, prepared on board by the skilled French chefs.
• After dinner retire to your cabin which has now been transformed into a cosy bedroom.

Day 4

• Breakfast is served in your cabin by your steward at a time to suit you.
• The train pulls into Paris Gare de l’Est and halts for 40 minutes, take this opportunity to stretch your legs along the platform.
• A delicious brunch is served in the restaurant cars as you travel on towards the French coast for the Channel crossing.
• Join the Belmond British Pullman train for the journey to London.
• A traditional afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of English sparkling wine is served before arriving at your destination.
